Aftercare for your Brows

You’ve gone and done it, you’ve just got your eyebrows microbladed. Congratulations! As with any other cosmetic procedure, there are a few aftercare instructions you must follow if you want successful, beautiful brows.

Remember, no matter how much of a marvel your technician is, you are accountable for the success of your procedure. Following microblading aftercare successfully will get you through the healing process with a brand-new pair of gorgeous, stunning brows.

Not following the aftercare could result in more time, discomfort and money spent fixing your new brows.

Don’t get wet

It’s important to keep your brows out of water for at least 10 days. Because water may absorb the pigment in the skin and create an uneven texture. Sure, it might seem weird because you’re immediately thinking “how am I going to shower?”

Use a shower cap!

If the scabs or flakes are too dry, they will itch, and you will be more prone to scratching, try to keep area moisturised by using the ointment your technician recommends. Do not use Vaseline. Keep clean by simply patting with a clean towel. Do not rub.

Avoid sweating

Gym mad, sorry but you might not like this part. You should try not engaging in physical activity for 10 days after your procedure. Excessive sweating might absorb the pigment and leave a patchy texture.

Keep clean

Keep them clean gently wipe morning, afternoon and evening with a lightly damp cotton pad, ensure you wash your hands before you wipe and use separate pads for each brow area to ensure no cross contamination.

Don't pick

Your brow area may swell a little after procedure. This is normal and nothing to worry about. You may develop scabs in the brow area important not to pick the scabs. They will itch, do your best to leave them alone, they will come away on their own. You’ll remove the pigment and will leave an uneven colour and patches.

Avoid heat

If you’re a fan of saunas, sorry, you’ve got to stay away from for a month after your microblading.

Avoid the sun

Keep out of the sun for the next month. That means, no tanning, sun burning. Wear a hat when outside, once the area has healed, use sunblock to ensure longer lasting colour.

No makeup or creams

Keep the brow area clean. If you apply makeup or creams on the area you might soil the area and remove some scabs in the cleaning process.

If you are one of those people that sleep face down into the pillow, please select another sleeping position, at least for the next 10 days after your microblading

That’s it!

We hope you take good care of your new brows.
